Hi All...Just wanted to keep you posted on Jade, and what Dr. Brummer found in the re-check ultrasound. The hepatic cyst remained unchanged, he does NOT think it's cancerous. The gallbladder has some changes in it...it didn't have the swelling it had, but the walls are thick. There was no evidence of that "kiwi-gallbladder" that he spoke of a month ago, which would have indicated immediate surgery. He took a blood test for bilirubin (gallbladder enzyme), to see if it was elevated. He just called me @ 5PM and told me it was normal. However....Jade will have to have a monthly blood draw to check this bilirubin level, and make sure it stays normal. Dr. Dave (as he is liked to be called) said he could start having his regular food mixed in with the R/D (special diet that is low cal) until it is 50/50. Jade has lost .7 lbs and that's a LOT for a small dog-he didn't feel anything substantial was in R/D to put a little weight back on him. I do have to watch for any signs of pain, vomiting and symptoms like he had the last time. If they re-occur or if the bilirubin levels rise, we are talking removal of the gallbladder. I am asking everyone to please continue to keep Jade in your prayers, that God will sustain him, and heal his gallbladder. I want to say THANKS for your compassion and concern for my "kid." God Bless You and Yours, Jade __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax.yahoo.com
