Scott, Nonmusicians who see my kit tend to be dazzled by it. It looks to them like modern art. Diehard acoustic drummers, who often know very little about electronics, are a little more circumspect, if not downright shy. It seems a little threatening. One who recently visited didn't quite know what to make of it, but he was drawn to the Visu-lite hi hat, which, to him, seemed oddly out of place but at least comprehensible on his terms. To me, it's the perfect complement.
