Hi All, Sorry for the silence but I had a modem card die on my laptop, just as I hit the road for a week, so I could not get to email. Anyway I did receive the Yamaha compatible Visu-lite HH pad yesterday (it got home about the same time I did), so I hooked it all up and tried to figure out how to get the HH stand into a good place in my setup. Mounting the module to the HH stand did not take long, although I was glad that I had a stand where I could rotate the legs easily, as this allowed me to avoid any stand hardware getting between the module and the pedal. If anyone is considering moving to the Visu-Lite HHs, I would suggest talking with Ed or I about attributes of the stand that work best with them, such as rotating legs, before you go stand shopping. Ed has posted pictures of his stand in the files section, and I will try to get a few shots of mine out there too. The initial settings came petty easily but I was having a little dropout, especially on lite rolls, so I ended up increasing the gain and moving the attenuation switch to the high position, after which the response seemed better, and I was able to get lite rolls to track properly. Harder hits were never a problem. I did feel that there was more 'width' between the full open and full closed positions than what I got on the HH80, so that is a very good thing. I also like the feel of the HH pads - Tom uses a type of rubber that is dense and not too thick, so there is not a lot of dampening of the stick's force as it hits the pad, which I liked. I was only able to spend an hour or so with it last night, so I will let you know how I feel after driving it around more this weekend. Certainly if anyone has specific questions just let me know.
