A couple of companies (Ludwig, for one) make a leglass hi-hat stand 
for double base drummers. You could get one of these, and using a 
multi-clamp, a short piece of tubing and a rack clamp, mount it right 
to the same extension that holds your snare.
I used my hi-hat like this (with the legd folded up) for one gig 
where I used acoustic cymbals.
