Re: [DTXpress] Re: new product

Ed,
Yamaha certainly could use some upgrading on their
cymbals and HH sounds...and it would be FANTASTIC if
we could download on our computers a particular drum
sound, whether it be cymbal, HH or any drum sound, and
then upload it to the DT module. Seems to me, because
the current DTX module is a computer (Martin's own
words), all it would take to "upgrade" our current DTX
brains would be a computer chip. The MidiKiti had
that capability-it is documented in my owners manual
for the Kiti. But, in the long run, if one were able
to upgrade the DTXII modules with a computer chip,
then Yamaha would loose out in sales of the new
DTXtreme module. I, for one, will be anxiously
waiting to see what is offered, and will probably buy
a new module, then try and sell my 2 DTXII
mods...STILL trying to sell the Midi Kiti....couldn't
sell it twice on ebay...and I see someone had one last
week on ebay, and last I looked, didn't sell
either...at least at the time, no one was bidding.
