Gianluca, For the hi hat problem, see message 2366 in the archives first and then 2961 for a little extra explanation. For the choke, the simple checkpoints are whether you are using a stereo cable, whether the cable is functioning correctly, and whether you have pad type in the trigger menu properly selected. Have I forgotten anything? The last troubleshoot on the list concerns whether the rim switch itself is damaged.
