A problem:open hi-hat doesn't play when...

Hi all!
Did it ever happen to you that, when you hit the hi-hat pad while
releasing the foot controller,AND, at the same time, you hit the
snare or bass drum...you can't hear any sound coming from hi-hat??
I think it's a problem that came out just yesterday, when i tuned my
Yamaha in every aspect, delay, self-rejection,dual layer, etc..I
think I found good sounds for me..but this problem
appeared..Oh,well, now the cymbal choke doesn't work anymore, and I
don't know why..I could try to cancel my personal drumkit and redo
from start!!
Bye,
Gianluca

Gianluca,

For the hi hat problem, see message 2366 in the archives first and
then 2961 for a little extra explanation. For the choke, the simple
checkpoints are whether you are using a stereo cable, whether the
cable is functioning correctly, and whether you have pad type in the
trigger menu properly selected. Have I forgotten anything? The last
troubleshoot on the list concerns whether the rim switch itself is
damaged.
