My first live gig w/DTXpress

Ok... So... I had a few friends come over last night, we opened up a few
beers, setup a few mics and a few guitars,a keyboard player and a cute
chick with a tambourine :) and we stated to jam (Foreigner/ Clapton/
Santana/ Creed/ Barenaked Ladies/ etc.) and for the first time, I noticed
that MANY of my hits were coming up misses! This is very strange since
I've been playing my kit since December and have not had any trouble like
this (that I've noticed) through my headphones.

For some reason, the kick was only hitting 7 out of 8 hits and the snare
and/or hi-hat would sometimes dramaticly change in volume. Wow. I'd seen
some posts about the problems setting up for live play, but I'd never
experienced it till now. The weird part is that I hadn't changed anything
about the kit. I didn't even move it! I just had a few folks come into my
practice room and jack into my mixer. :::sigh:::

I guess it's time to go review all the posts on gain, specific rejection
and... uh... self-rejection (Hope I don't go blind!) :D And here I've
been smug in my superior knowledge that *my* kit wasn't doing those weird
things! :P
