Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi Guys,

Just a quick check, I was thinking of buying the KP65 Kick tower and 
TP65s 3 zone snare pad, Do u guys think it would work on my Dtexpress 
kit. The guys at the Yamaha says that it would only work on the DTX2 
module and not on DTX1.Is it true?? Need some advise..
