Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

To catch some of you up- My PCY crash failed last week- choke and rim 
functions died, and after reviewing features and costs, I ordered a 
ZB2 from Ed at Drumbalaya. (If any of you have not visited 
www.drumbalaya.com yet, scoot on over. It's a fine site devoted to 
all the major e-drum lines)
The new cymbal arrived right on time yesterday and I have literally 
only had a few moments to play with it. Right off I have a problem- 
when I whack the edge there is a noticeable delay in the trigger- 
about a beat if you have the click set to 80. Much as I like to play 
ahead of the beat- this requires way too much anticipation for 
someone with a crusty nervous system like myself.
I'm confident (?) this can be resolved through settings- can anyone 
steer me to the right location to begin tweaking? I am pre-grateful 
for any help.
