It doesn't have to be a pad song per se, I just figured that would be the only way to do it. The idea is to have a bass figure that would play one note every time you hit the kick, so it would sound like a bass player playing in unison with your kick. I could've sworn the original DTXpress had a drumkit that did that, so I thought there'd be a way to do it with the DTXII.
