Vern, Does PHPBB forum software support email posting/message delivery? That would be the key for me -- it's why I like Yahoo groups. You get a web based forum you can go to when you want, but can read/post/reply to messages via email. I am a member of so many groups that filtered email is the only way I can manage it. There's no way I could (or would want) to surf through a web-based forum just to see all new messages. Plus, I like being able to archive messages of my choosing on my local computer. If email is an option, then I have no objections to moving away from Yahoo.
