Re: DTXU or DMpro?

2003-05-17 by zapaxe

I've been considering (never used one though) the DM Pro. I see that
the DM Pro is 20 bit & the DTXpress brain is only 16 bit.
The extra bit rate along with the added trigger inputs sound
intersting.

I've also considered getting the discontinued DTXtreme module as I
may get a great price somewhere? But I have no idea what the bit
rate of that is?

I also with to upgrade my original DTXpress kit & already have to
some extent. I've added a dual trigger for snare, dual trigger
cymbal pad & a bell trigger. I use the older original pads to fill
up the 9/10 trigger inputs. So that leaves me with one unused single
trigger round pad.

I've seen in recent posts that many of you guy's are linking the
brain modules. This would be cool even with the DTX brain as some of
the sounds are decent. It's just the cymbal & snare sounds that bug
me a little. Plus I'd like to be able to have several or separate
audio outputs for the snare, hats & kick etc. to go into my Cubase
DAW recordings.
