anyone using the dtxpress module with a drumkat controller???

2003-05-18 by otacon28us

hey guys,
long time since i posted on here, been busy as hell. nice
to see alot of action on here though (this is still one of the best
places on the net in my opinion) i just bought up a drum kat about 2
weeks ago for my recording kit,and man i love the thing. there's so
much that it can do,and basically every feature on the dtxpress
works great with the drumkat( and the pads work just as well plugged
into the drumkat as they do directly into the dtxpress module) ..
layering voices is great on here, and although you can only layer 2
voices with the dtxpress the drumkat lets you layer 3 voices on each
pad (even the external input ones),and have to control on each one..
plus with having 9 inputs on the back of the drumkat offers the
ability to have a 19 peice monster e-drum kit even in a pretty space
limited area.. it's a great tool for recording, and i have been
giving it a work-out on my new roland vs-1880 (love this thing as
well) just figured i'd see if anyone else has used the drumkat with
the dtxpress module, and had anything to say about there experience
with doing so, also this may be a nice option for users wanting that
bigger e-drum kit,but not wanting to devour a rooms worth of space
to have one... i have also just recently bought a hart multi-pad 6
that i'm gonna be putting into the configuration soon, but you can
see pics of my current recording kit configuration by checking out
my pics(otacon28's pics) in the photos section (there the last few
pics that i just added)

rock on guys,
               sam(otacon28)
