RE: [DTXpress] Re: DTXpressII on eBay...

NEWS FLASH....NEWS FLASH.

I just recieved a email from Martin at Yamaha support. They are in the
process of acquiring an updated ROM chip for the DTXPRESSII module that will
allow for choking on zones 1-8 and not just on zones 2,6,7. Roland would
have never responsed in this honorable fashion. These guys at Yamaha are the
best when it comes to responding the end user questions and issue. A million
praises to Yamaha!!!!! Martin indicated that they will be mailing me the
update ROM chips as soon as they are available. Yippie...Yippie...

Oh, sorry, Stewart, I just got little carried away. The Yamaha emailed
popped up in the middle of reading your response. Now back to your question.
Yes the pad and rim will trigger on the PCY's on any of the zones 1-8.
Choking will only function on zones 2, 6,7....for now. But actually all you
really need to do is move the PCY65 (mono) to zone 4 since it does not have
rim trigger anyway and put the new PCY65S on zone 7 (crash) and you will get
pad, rim and choking!!!! You will need to change pad trigger types to the
correct type also. You can still move the tom3 to 9/10 as planned.
