Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi!
Tomorrow I'll have my second concert with my DTXpress II..first one 
was a kind of experiment,in front of friends...main problems were:
1)snare sometimes missed hits..probably I have to dramatically lower 
SELF-REJECTION (present value is 4 or 5)
2)Ride and bell sound were horrible!! (wrong V1 and V2 settings)
Could you tell me some hints for a good sound on V1 and V2 (ride and 
bell) and which parameter could I set? I mean:which midi sound could 
I use for both inputs, and a cross-fade value?
I could try your settings, just as a start, and then I could find 
optimal setting for my need..I have only this evening to try..
