Hi all, Chris, good news that your kit is on the way. Looking forward to your impressions, etc. Giles, did you figure out your playback issue? Amplification: You can find info on my Fender KXR100 in the Fender website (fender.com). This will tell you more than I can. When I first played the kit in the shop, they were running it through a small Roland keyboard amp and the clerk, who has a pretty thorough knowledge of e-drums, was adamant that the keyboard amp was the way to go. The small Roland sounded really nice. Synthesizers are so tricked-out that they require amps with full range from low bass to high treble and these are also the needs of drums. The Fender has a big woofer, a horn, 3 inputs with individual volume and a nice range of eq control. The other nice thing is that it has a headphone jack so that I can have the power of the amp along with eq, etc. The kit sounds amazing through it as do guitars, vocals, etc. It's almost a portable P.A.. I was able to pick it up slightly used for quite a bit less than new. I did notice that keyboard amps tend to be more expensive than basic guitar amps due to the eq control and range of sound required. Definitely check music shops or e-auctions as they seem to be available. Later, Rick
