Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Nick, I know what your talking about and I have thought about a 
solution a while back.  My first thought was to maybe place a larger 
felt underneath the bell pad but I'm not sure if this would 
interfere with the wing nut we have to tighten, I think it might.  I 
also thought of just playing with more finesse, but its hard when 
your a rock drummer.  So I finally looked up some splash-cymbal 
cymbal-arms that would connect to your current boom arms and out 
would stick the bell pad.  I know this would be ok for a splash 
cymbal, but as for a bell sound I'm not sure if it would feel 
right.  Look up product number CYA5E or MCA63E at drumbalaya to see 
what kind of splash cymbal arm I'm talking about.  It doesnt matter 
which number you look up because you can both arms in the picture.  
Just an idea...
