Re: [DTXpress] Re: record problem

2003-07-08 by Vernon Graner

Let me see if I understand the problem:

--you set the module to a kit
--you record some tracks
--you change kits and try to ADD new sounds to your existing tracks.
--You loose the original sounds when you switch kits.

If this is the case, what you would need to do is create a new kit that
includes all the sounds you want to play. For example, lets say I want to
lay a rythm track down (kick/snare/hat) and then add some latin
percussion (congas, cowbell etc). I would create a new custom kit by
copying the primary kit with the kick/snare/hat sound I liked, then I
would assign some new sounds to the kit on different note numbers. Now,
you would use the new note numbers to add the new sounds. I would usually
do this with an external sequencer on a computer using MIDI, but you
might be able to do this with the sequencer in the kit itself.
