You hit the nail on the head, sir.

Even though I used to make money doing this is small bars,
I can't stand watching people playing to backup music. It's sterile.

I live in Orlando, FL. and damn near every tourist trap / theme park
uses one/two musicians who play to canned music. Yech... and if you
look around, no one is the least bit into it.
