The DTXtreme module has six (6) individual outputs as well as the two
mixed outputs (like the DTXpress module). You assign the snare, kick,
toms, cymbals, hi-hat and misc. groups to each corresponding output of
the module. I have mine setup this way feeding my Behringer MX2004
mixer, each with it's own individual channel. It works great, allows a
final mix at the mixer and also allows rough volume control through the
DTXtreme's front panel volume sliders before the signal is sent to the
mixer.

DTXtreme's are hard to come by these days as Yamaha has discontinued
it, so you'll probably have to look for one used at a shop like
Drumbalaya or search Ebay for auctions. Hopefully the new replacement
for the DTXtreme module will have similar features.
