I knew that Yahoo wouldn't be open for business yet, but I called the number at 9;30 am, my time, just to see what I'd get. If you have a question about one of Yahoo's free services, you get shunted to a recorded message that basically says, "You're getting this service for free; we don't take calls from people who don't pay us. Use the 'Help' feature online and send us a futile email." I will not be able to call later today to deceive a human being into hearing me out, but I will try between now and sometime on Monday, unless someone else reports doing so. Just to be clear, I have no great expectations, but if we are to lose something that took four years to build, why go down with a whimper? I believe that OGD's idea of hitting them where their money lives is better, but it needs greater participation than our recent polls indicate that we have. Ed
