The biggest improvement I made to my kit was firmly mounting the kick pedal and tower to a piece of masonite. Set it and forget it. Far less noise. No rocking, no strike angle change when you tighten the clamp, and no creeping thanks to hook-side-down Velcro strips on the underside. I designed it to come apart quickly for transport (though it travels well together) or if there's a kick hardware failure. I can post a picture if anyone's interested. ========================================================================= pete > From: "Bill " <groovinbill@...> > Reply-To: DTXpress@egroups.com > Date: Thu, 21 Sep 2000 15:19:01 -0000 > To: DTXpress@egroups.com > Subject: [DTXpress] Comments & Questions > > Last thing - while at the church I kept noticing noise from the bass > drum pedal and kick tower.
