Hey Perry, and anyone else,

I can't remember: Does footclose on the Xpress have its own 
parameters in the voice menu? If the cable checks out okay, it's 
possible, I guess, that something vital got deleted accidentally from 
the settings (like the voice itself?). Also, is something amiss with 
the common hi hat sensitivity setting in the voice menu, or the 
offset/time settings in utility? If not, the pedal may have a 
mechanical problem that keeps it from running its full course. I've 
run into something similar, and have duplicated the problem 
artificially, with another company's controller, by shortening the 
throw, although when I do so, I don't get a closed hat stick sound.
