I think I found something that might just work and I thought I would 
post a link to it in case anyone else out there might have an 
interest in such an item.
This program is supposed to allow you to control another synth or a 
another piece of software like cakewalk using your drums!
They have a demo of an e-drummer playing a song and changing the 
tempo of the other intsruments by changing the speed he plays at.
Any way it looks pretty neat and will do allot of other things like  
help you in recording and will even control a light system.
I downloaded it(30 day demo) but haven't played with it yet.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
