Sphinx,

First of all, the name of the product, which is Drumbalaya's own, is
YAMDTXROL. It works with DTXpress-II and DTXtreme drum modules and
Roland-style pedals, including the Roland FD-7. You'll have to go to
Drumbalaya's website to order it ($29).

I've run a CY-6 through an Xpress module. The signal wasn't huge, but
it was okay. I assume that the rims are functioning all right, since
you don't mention tham. The fact that you can hear the piezo when you
hit it on the backside is a good omen. You might have to change the
pad-type settings for the CY-6 in the trigger menu for optimum
response. Remember to use a setting that works for stereo cymbals
with choke. Maybe somebody remembers what the options are called. You
may also have to adjust the gain for cymbals upward until you get the
bow to trigger adequately. If that doesn't work, flip up the DIP
switches corresponding the CY-6 inputs on the back of the module
(unfortunately, there are only six; one cymbal may get shortchanged).
Try those strategies first, and let us know.
