AX14S--for Scott (hairytrigger)

Scott,

Earlier this year, you wrote:

"The only 'dropouts I've noticed is when I do a "pressroll/flam".
I don't know what it is really called, but when you do a short
pressroll with the right hand followed immediately by a shot with the
left.Anyway, if I don't end that pressroll part soon enough, the
left-hand-shot doesn't trigger.I've had to modify my playing a bit to
ensure it is heard. Or worse, play it properly, with both hands doing
the roll (R-L-R-L) with the last L played hard. It's all played in
the time it takes to play a flam. I don't know why the last one drops
out."

I agreed with you on that, adding that if the stick making the second
to last stroke remains on the drum, the next stroke with the other
stick won't trigger. As you said, attention to playing style helps,
but certain kinds of roll are still susceptible. Anyway, with further
experimenting, I discovered that this phenomenon is not a limitation
of the AX14S but of the Xpress. No need to adjust the module.
