Do you have anything you can use to bargain with them--like "I'll 
never ask you for anything ever again" or "I'll take back everything 
nasty that I've ever said (or thought) about you"?  As a last resort, 
you could offer to do some work around the house, or get a job, or 
promise to share whatever money you make as a drummer, or promise not 
to move out, or promise to move out. Whatever works. You can also 
tell them you'd be hanging out in a completely spam-free cyber-
environment. If that doesn't win them over, they are truly hard-
hearted.
