To demand, or even just ask nicely, that your parents spend up to 10 times what they normally do is not right. NOW - when I was 15 (a long time ago) I stood backstage watching a rock band play at school and from that moment on I wanted to be a drummer. I did a deal with my parents. At the start of the school summer break they paid for a second hand drum kit BUT I had to pay them back, in full, before school resumed. I worked all summer and ended up valueing the kit I owned. >... and they said a while ago I couldn't play the drums because > it was too loud so I need to persuade them to let me have the > DTXpress! Once you own a kit the expenses don't stop. I am sure your parents will be open to paying for lessons. When you start playing they will probably have to drive you round with your kit. And god help them if the band decide to practice at the drummers house! Good luck
