As was mentioned in another thread, it might be a good idea to line the inside surfaces of the unit with some type of absorbent substance to keep the to parallel surfaces from "ringing" at a harmonic frequency. Maybe after cutting out the holes, cut a piece of carpet with holes the size of the tennis balls and cover the inner surfaces with it. Or maybe wrap the whole thing in cloth and then fill the space between the two plywood pieces with packing peanuts or something of that nature to consume the open air between the boards.
