Back in January, Brian LaRue, who runs Pintech, was kind enough to 
supply us with the 2003 Pintech manual. You'll find it in this site's 
Files section. It answers your question about dual-zone pads.

Those who don't fancy the springy Pintech/Roland meshes should try 
the two-ply Harts.
