Hi Jeffrey, I don't remember what cable came with the AX14S but I bet it was a stereo cable which will only "work" in 9/10 to get you both zones. What you need is two separate cables to set yourself up: 1. You need a HOSA YPP-117 to split 9/10 into two 1/4" mono females which you can see here http://www.directproaudio.com/product.cfm?directid=34032 and 2. 1/4" insert cable (such as HOSA STP 202) to split the AX14S into two mono males which you can see here http://www.directproaudio.com/product.cfm?directid=24977 You should ask Ed at Drumbalaya to sell these to you (although I only saw the YPP 117 on the site) or you can get them from directproaudio or anywhere else you can find them. Also, mounting on a stand is the way to go and I was really specifically talking about the settings for the snare head/rim that will require some "extra" tweaks.. Hope this helps....
