The "S" denotes stereo, which in this case denotes an edge switch with choking capability. Presumably you'll be using input 6 or 7 (9/10 is the only input on the DTXpress I, I believe, that is incapable of stereo functions). Enter the Trigger Setup Edit Mode. The first page that you'll encounter is "Pad Type." If you have one of the Yamaha "S" cymbals, choose PCY ride or PCY crash; you can also try misc 2, 4, 6 for other companies' chokable cymbals (or even Yamaha's if you want to experiment).
