For the 1st time in almost > a year it's dead on! Steve, Back in the 20th C, when I had just bought a DTXpress and was having the same problem as you, that's the first thing Dave told me to do. It's a good reminder: First check cable; then jack and visible connections; than re-solder everything. Ed
