Re: [DTXpress] Re: Is my KP65 dying?

2003-11-13 by M E

I'm having similar problems with my KP65. the sponge underneath the rubber cover has compacted on the right side (i'm using dbl pedals) and now produces a very weak signal, whereas the left side of the KP is still producing a healthy signal. Do i need a new piezo and sponge? If anybody has changed their's before I'd be interested to know if it's an easy operation and what the model numbers are of the parts needed.

This certainly seems to be one of the DTX flaws. Do the the DTX veterans out there just use different triggers to avoid this prob?

Thanks,

Max
