Hi J, I just found out that I'm about to be called elsewhere, so I'm not likely to do justice to your question. The short answer is that you can switch programs on the DTXpress, either with an external MIDI device capable of conveying program changes or by using one of your inputs to house a pad dedicated to increasing or decreasing your current kit number. You can use any kind of pad to do so, even a hi hat controller pedal. The short answer, I'm afraid. Maybe somebody will pick up the ball for me. Gotta go. Ed
