Foot Switches??

Foot Switches??

2003-11-13 by Jay

Hello everybody,
This is a fantastic group! I am a new member, and I will be receiving
my DTXpressII In January. I can't wait!! But, I just had a quick
question: is it possible to attach a pedal to the DTX that will allow
you to switch between presets? I have heard rumors about such a pedal
with 3 switches: up through the presets, down through the presets, and
select. Does anyone use such a thing? Does it even exist? It seems
like it would be pretty difficult to hit those tiny buttons on the
brain while jamming to change kits.

Thanks in advance,
j

Hi J,

I just found out that I'm about to be called elsewhere, so I'm not
likely to do justice to your question. The short answer is that you
can switch programs on the DTXpress, either with an external MIDI
device capable of conveying program changes or by using one of your
inputs to house a pad dedicated to increasing or decreasing your
current kit number. You can use any kind of pad to do so, even a hi
hat controller pedal. The short answer, I'm afraid. Maybe somebody
will pick up the ball for me. Gotta go.
