Ed,

Something else that should have been added to the drum modules from all of
the manufacturers in leau of the one or two of the practice songs would be
Rudiments. It would be an excellent tool for beginners to practice to, since
you can change the tempo of songs, you could slow the it down at the
beginning and then speed it up as you progress. And since the Yamaha module
has a built-in groove check, you could keep track of how accurate you are
keeping up.
