Hi Wm, As a portable digital recorder, the Korg can store sounds and export them to any other recorder, sampler, or sequencer. Unfortunately, the DTXpress module doesn't qualify under any of those headings. It cannot download external samples and play them back. The only drum modules on the market today that do--to any degree--are the ddrum4 and the Alesis DM Pro. The new wave of hi end modules from Roland, Yamaha, and ddrum, however, will be more sampler-based. If you wanted to access sounds on the Korg to play via the DTXpress pads, you'd have to transfer them into a MIDI-compatible component-- either PC-based or stand-alone--so that you could use the DTXpress module as a MIDI conduit (with its own sounds disabled) between the pads and the samples. From what I understand, the Korg has MIDI connections for recording purposes, as well as to link units together to create up to 48 tracks. I don't know whether it has the kind of MIDI capability that would allow the DTXpress module to access sounds directly from the pads. Ed
