Robert,

I assume that you've followed the instructions in the DTXpress manual 
under Bulk Dump in the Utility Mode. If so, the only thing that comes 
to mind is that the your MIDI cables are connected incorrectly. If 
your connection from the PC is via a MIDI adapter from a Soundblaster-
type card, the MIDI cable end labelled "out" could be meant to  
connect either to the Yamaha MIDI "in" or MIDI "out." Different 
manufacturers treat the labels differently--some expecting you to 
join "out" to "out" and others "out" to "in." Try swapping the cables.
