I personaly hate the idea of an included throne or pedal...for the money, I'd rather chose my own...its like includeing crap cymbals with a drumset...I'd rather have the cash...and find a used better one at a pawn shop...

Merry Christmas, Jon. I think that the "Plus" versions of the two 
IIIs are simply the particular store's addition of a throne (and kick 
pedal?) to each. Yamaha has only two versions of the III, leaving 
buyers to select their own seats.
