The round cymbals, one of which offers the opportunity for bell, bow, and edge; the round hi hat on a traditional stand, which, in principle, would seem to be an improvement over the rack-mounted pad (though not to everyone); a curved rack, which folds up with pads on it for convenient storage and/or transport; the new sounds in the module, especially for cymbals; and maybe a few other things as well. It remains to be seen whether the changes to the IIISP will have DTXpressII users selling their kits to buy the latest model.
