Todd, I just got a Dtxpress II and love it, its my first kit. I chose 
the yamaha because for less money it had a better rack and the snare 
has 3 sounds, I figured if I was going to learn I may as well have 
those sounds available on the snare, my choice was between the Hart 
prodigy and the yamaha, and Now I'm set for a long time I'm sure.
