Apologies for being slightly OT but on January 16th Apple are releasing 
Garage Band as part of OS X's iLife04 applications which include 
iTunes. Garage Band is an amazing music creation application that 
combines loops with live input (via audio in or MIDI) all for $49 - and 
that's for all five programs in the suite! And all five programs work 
seamlessly together so you can save your masterpiece direct to iTunes 
or use it in iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD too. Well worth checking out even 
if you're not a Mac user:
