Mike,
Another setting that seems to be required for click track
sync is the "Count Switch" in the utilitiy mode -
This should be set to ON.
This assures that the first beat of the first measure 
occurs on the two-light blink of the click, so all of the
other measures will start on that click as well
The Count Switch can be set to "off" after the recording 
is done.
