Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Is it possible to upgrade the sounds in a DTXpress 2 to a, let's say, 
DTXpress 3.
I mean, it's just a computer isn't it?
There must be a way to update the firmware or something like that. 
Maybe someone tried this before or contacted Yamaha about this.
