Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hey, everybody!  I've been contemplating the idea of integrating an 
acoustic drum kit into my e-kit, but using it as an electronic.  I 
want to replace the heads with mesh heads and add ddrum triggers for 
use with my dtx2 brains, and then mounting it to my rack probably 
using gibralter clamps.  Has anybody in this group done this before?  
If so, any suggestions fo me?  I'm not planning on spending alot of 
money on kit, due to the fact that I won't be using it for its' 
sound.  But, I do want the best triggers available, and that are 
compatible with the dtx's.
