On the "Rush in Rio" DVD there is a shot of Neil Peart with 
plastic bags on his bare feet as he is being escorted to the stage 
for one of the shows.  It was raining for a couple of the shows in 
those big outdoor arenas they played in.  I assume he must have left 
his shoes somewhere and they didn't have time to go get them so he 
could wear them up to the riser and slip them off, so they just used 
a couple of baggies to cover his feet.  ;)
