Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi. This is my first post here. I've had a DTXII for about a year. 
I've been using it for recording and I think it sounds good with the 
rest of the rock band I'm recording with, with one exception: I 
can't get the toms sounding puncy enough. Right now I'm using a 
modified version of the Rock Kit (factory preset 3) for mu user 
preset. I'm using the Room2 (Hi, Mid, Lo) tom sounds instead of the 
Room1 (Hi, Mid, Lo) toms. The Room2 toms are the punchiest I could 
find, but they still don't seem to cut through the mix. I'm looking 
for something with a sharper attack with more a stick sound. Any 
suggestions?
