Yeah, i know this topic has been beaten into the ground. but i'm looking for some different info. my band has switched to all headphones. all 4 of us wear them now, so the only thing you hear when you walk into our "studio" (actually it's just a shed in my back yard. heh) is the sound of really terrible singing and sticks hitting 8 inch rubber pads. hehehe. but i digress... here's the problem: we all wear cans, but we want the ability to adjust the levels of each instrument independently without affecting the mix being recorded. i've heard about a headphone distribution system that can do it, something connected by ethernet cables? does anyone out there use something like this? anyone have any brilliant suggestions? it is almost surreal playing this way. it's like we're listening to a perfectly mixed CD when we jam. it's nice and all, but sometimes we all want to hear our own instruments scream above the noise and confusion, sort of like when you're playing with REAL amps and REAL drums ;)
